DTF Care Guide

Pressing Instructions

These guidelines are suitable for cotton and most cotton blend garments. Results may vary on other fabrics, so testing is recommended.

  1. Preheat your heat press to 140°C with firm, even pressure.
  2. Place the transfer on the garment with the design facing up.
  3. Press for 6 to 8 seconds.
  4. Remove the film immediately while hot, lifting smoothly and evenly.
  5. Cover the print and apply a second press for another 6 to 8 seconds.
  6. If any adhesive residue is visible, cover with baking paper or a protective sheet and press briefly to clean the surface.

Tip: Using a protective sheet such as Teflon or baking paper helps maintain consistent results and protects your heat press.

Washing, Drying & Aftercare

Following these care steps will help keep your DTF prints looking their best for longer.

  1. Wash garments in cold water only.
  2. Turn garments inside out before washing.
  3. Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, or harsh detergents.
  4. Do not tumble dry. Air drying is recommended.
  5. Do not iron directly over the print.
  6. Allow at least 24 hours after pressing before washing.

Proper care ensures better colour retention, flexibility, and durability of your DTF transfers.
